This Bose® 901 Active Equalizer, Series II #81471, just came through the shop for a repair. It’s owner sent this one all the way from Ontario, Canada for expert repair from Rain City Audio.

This one was repaired at some point, with the three main filter capacitors replaced in the past, but even these were failing. Replacing the components was a straightforward job.

This one got an upgrade to film output capacitors, and also hand-selected transistors.

A new power lamp was also in order:

With a full set of new components and a selection of upgrades, this equalizer went home sounding fantastic, and should be great for a long time to come!
